Booking a hotel for business purposes requires quite a bit of research to get right. Being away from home and away from your family is something that most business people know all too well. Hotels can get very cramped and depressing - especially on extended business trips. Its important that you keep this in mind and make sure that the hotel offers enough facilities for relaxation. Also make sure that some of the basic facilities will be provided for someone on business so that they can run a mobile office from their hotel room.

3. Price

In the end most decisions are driven by cost. If this trip is for business purposes then there are some tax advantages that can be factored in. If there's been arrangements for travel expenses with clients then obviously budget is less of a concern. Spend as little or as much as you are comfortable with but always try and strike a balance between price and comfort - especially on an extended trip where you will spend a lot of time in hotels. You might even consider looking into corporate apartments or long stay hotels if you intend to stay for more than a month.
