A lady in my neighborhood started taking piano lessons at the age of 60. She learned to paint at 55 she constantly is learning and growing and improving both her mind and talents. I have a friend who at 58 graduated from college last year. Good for these life learners. They are my hero's. Sometimes we don't quite get our acts together as adolescence, some people really struggle in high school, but that isn't the last chance, Gilbert adult education, Chandler adult education and adult education in Mesa are the second chance places for adults to get the education they need and the certificates they need to further their careers, and life. We have all heard miraculous stories of people who never graduated from high school yet went on to accomplish miraculous things. These are by far the exception. Most high school drop outs life a life of poverty, struggling daily to make ends meet. It isn't too late, if you didn't take advantage of what was offered in high school, go back, finish it up and move on with your life. People often think they don't have time. You don't have time not to.
Life is about learning new things, I have a sister who has made it a life style to constantly take classes in something new, she has taken canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, ballet, music appreciation, scuba diving and recently she took a trapeze class. What could be cooler than that? A life of learning is a life well spent. We have lots of years, we have time to learn that is a wonderful and comforting thought.
