Have you noticed that when you hear that someone is brewing their own beer, there is this unavoidable element of ridicule? It's a sad notion to think that someone could be so lazy that to go to the store or a bar to get a beer is too much of an inconvenience or you're so cheap that you want to save all that money by making it yourself.
