Anyone who's console has suffered from the dreaded PS3 YLOD will tell you the same thing - it's a pain in the butt. Most of the time, its caused by overheating of the processor and circuits inside the case which needs a full blown repair - which can cost a lot of cash. However, its not always as drastic as that, and, if you know what to do, you can actually carry out the repair yourself and save a pile of money.
