Premenstrual syndrome or PMS affects approximately eighty five percent of all women during their child bearing years, however, while some women experience very few or milder symptoms, others experience numerous symptoms from moderate to severe that significantly interfere with their daily activities. While medical experts and researchers have not found a definitive cause for PMS, they have identified certain risk factors that are associated with premenstrual syndrome. Many of these risk factors include certain lifestyle habits; therefore, knowing these risk factors may help some women in significantly decreasing their symptoms of PMS.
